California Increases Minimum Wage to $8.00 per Hour - Effective January 1, 2008, California increased the minimum wage to $8.00 per hour, a 6.7 percent increase over the 2007 minimum wage.

New I-9 Form Required Beginning December 26, 2007 - On December 19, 2007, the USCIS released the revised Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification which must be used by employers begining December 26, 2007.
