John A. Wenger

John Wenger's diverse domestic and international law  background in corporate and transactional matters, coupled with his executive experience and business management education make him well suited to represent companies here and abroad in most complex business law matters.  In addition, Mr. Wenger serves as the managing attorney for the law firm.

Mr. Wenger received a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in 1992 from Temple University, Fox School of Business Management in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  While attending Temple University he majored in Risk Management & Insurance and Business Legal Studies.  Mr. Wenger also followed the course curriculum for a minor in Crimnal Justice.  Upon graduation, Mr. Wenger was employed as a legal investigator.  With Talone & Associates in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he conducted extensive investigations relating to corporate, business, employment, and civil litigation matters for international law firms and insurance carriers.  He also has several years of experience in securities and class action litigation.  Mr. Wenger brings his years of investigation experience to the firm in conducting internal investigations and audits for our corporate clients.

In 1997, Mr. Wenger earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) degree from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, California, where his primary focus was on international business law.  While in law school, Mr. Wenger also studied international law at the prestigious Chulalongkorn University, the first institution of higher learning in Bangkok, Thailand, and the University of Malta in Valletta, Malta which traces its origins back to 1592.  He also served as a legal intern at the United States Securities & Exchange Commission - Office of Enforcement in San Francisco, and for California State Assemblywoman Jacqueline Speier.

In 1997, Mr. Wenger accepted a position with Delaney & Co. Indochina Ltd., an international business and transactional law firm with offices in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar.  Based at the firm's Bangkok, Thailand office, his practice focused primarily on providing counsel to multinational corporations doing business in Asia.  In 1998, Mr. Wenger was admitted to the State Bar of California, and thereafter, joined the law firm of Marsh & Perna in the San Francisco Bay Area, where his practice focused on international law and business immigration. Drawing on his experince at the Securities & Exchange Commission years in legal and corporate investigations, in 2000, Mr. Wenger joined the San Diego office of Milberg Weiss Bershad Hynes & Lerach, a securities and class action law firm.  During his tenure at the firm, he was involved in exposing some of the most well publicized corporate corruption in the history of Wall Street. 

As an avid motorcyclist with an entrepreneurial spirit and business background, in 2003, Mr. Wenger accepted a position as General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer with one of San Diego's oldest independent retailers in the motorcycle industry. With his strong business acumen and professional legal experience, Mr. Wenger established his own law practice in 2005, focusing primarily on corporate, transactional, international, and business-related immigration law for small to medium size corporations worldwide.  Realizing the growing need for such legal services in the small business community, Mr. Wenger founded the Wenger law firm. 

Away from the office, Mr. Wenger enjoys spending time with his wife, Karine, and two young children. Mr. Wenger is still involved in the motorcycle industry and even tried his hand at amateur motorcycle racing. He also enjoys sailing and sailboat racing, as well as international travel.
