Internal Audits & Investigations

In the increasingly conscience-focused marketplaces of the 21st century, the demand for more ethical business processes and actions is increasing.  Simultaneously, pressure is applied on industry to improve business ethics through new public initiatives and laws.  Moreover, corporate crime has become politically sensitive in some countries. Corporate crime refers to crimes committed either by a corporation (i.e., a business entity having a separate legal personality from the natural persons that manage its activities), or by individuals that may be identified with a corporation or other business entity.  White-collar crime (i.e. crime committed against a business by its executives and managers) overlaps with corporate crime because the opportunity for fraud, bribery, insider trading, embezzlement, computer crime, and forgery is more available to white-collar employees.  In order to maintain security and public confidence, it is vital that all businesses take proactive measures to stem the tide of corporate and white collar crime and maintain high ethical standards.
